Biking and Hiking
A recommended sight for walking in Ireland is Lough Inagh Lodge, set in the Recess of Connemara. The hotel itself is the ideal starting-point for walks in the valley, along foothills, over the famous Twelve Bens, and across the Maumturk Mountains.
However, if you are not a hiker looking for mountains, then walking the trails around the cottage could fill weeks before you ever covered the same boreen (lane) twice. These local walks come in a variety of difficulties and are planned for you in a booklet produced locally. You can make them as strenuous or as easy as you like. You can be sure of one thing - this little part of Mayo will capture your heart! If biking is your desire, bicycles for adults and children are available daily and weekly in Kiltimagh.
